Short Vacation means lots of Quilting!

Having a short vacation means that I have extra time to focus on my quilting.  I don't want to get caught up in housework over this holiday but instead want to enjoy myself and spend some time quilting and designing.  Lazy days filled with plenty of starbucks, great music and a no hurry attitude.  Hope everyone else is planning to enjoy their holiday weekend as well!

  1. This sounds like a great way to spend a vacation! I need to set aside a couple of days for myself like that - just to do fun stuff - no cleaning. I really like that idea! I saw a book at the fabric store the other day that was about fabric art - I guess you could say some of that is kind of like quilting - anyway, it looked like something fun that I might try. Maybe this weekend!

  2. Linda, good to see you starting to promote yourself. Have you started the long-arm business yet? What about a website? You need to publish your long-arm accomplishments and show some close-up pics of your work on both your blog and your website. How much do you charge for quilting and are you doing all free-hand or do you use a "stitcher" program? Add more pics of your kitties and quilts to the blog. We want to know you and appreciate your work and your loves! Go, girl, go!

  3. Fabric Art is fun and something I enjoy as well. There are a lot of recyclable items that can be used to make very interesting art quilts. I subscribe to a magazine called Quilting Arts and it is fabulous! As a matter of fact, they are having a contest that I am considering entering when I get a few moments to put something together....more on that later. I also have my underwater Art Quilt that I need to finish up that I could post pictures of...it needs some bead work done first...but it is also looking pretty good.
